The Basic Electronic Components in a Cell Phone

Modern cell phones can process millions of calculations per second to manage the voice stream. The design of cell phone is a challenging process to fit into a very small space and offering high levels of performance. The electronic circuitry in a cell phone needs to consume less power for longer life.
The PCB of a mobile cell phone has several electronic components. If you are looking forward to Buy Electronic Components for designing a cell phone, or learning mobile repairing, it is important to learn about these small electronic components and understand their function.
Some of the basic electronic components include:
  1. Coil: Coil is present in any section of the cell phone. It is found in many shapes and size and is found in two colors: Black and white; and Blue and white. The coil helps to filter and decrease current and voltage.
  2. Coupler: Coupler is found in the network section of a mobile phone, helping in the filtering of network. It is of either black or white color and has 6 pins bent inside.
  3. Capacitors: The 3 types of capacitor found in cell phones are:
    • Non-Electrolytic Capacitor: It filters DC current.
    • Electrolytic Capacitor: One side with the strip is positive and the other side is negative. It filters and stores current.
  1. Resistors: The two resistors are:
  • Chip resistance that decreases current and passes forward.
  • Network Resistance: It is made from 2 or more Chip Resistance.
  1. Rectifier Diode: It converts AC current to DC current. The current flows in one direction.
  2. LED: It is found in white or light yellow color and help to emit light.
  3. Zener Diode: It is found in charging section and acts as voltage regulator. It filters and minimizes current.
  4. Transistor: It is used for the function of switching.
  5. Photo Diode: It is used for capturing infrared rays.
These components help in the basic functioning of a cell phone and are found in any part of the phone.
